My First Sports Blog
Hello guys:
As the first sports blog, I will be covering a wide spectrum of sports, raning from NFL football to UFC fighting on a daily basis. Why mixed-martial arts? Because it is on the rise that interest young spectators.
Not only I will be covering current sports topics, but I will be posting a certain topic such as the BCS to steroids in baseball. I would be posting more topics as time goes on.
Compared to Motocross racing, NASCAR is vastly overrated!
All I can say is that I am bored watching cars driving around an oval track 500 times. NASCAR is just watching 10-20 cars driving around the track, and there is not much action. Almost tracks in NASCAR are shaped like an oval, thus less crashing and very few lead changes. The only fun track I know that is interesting to watch is the Infieon Raceway in Sonoma, California, where it is lots of turns and it is hilly. Why can't make all tracks unique in shape?
I would rather watch motocross racing where it is held on a dirt track using the whole entire stadium on a course filled with bumps, pits, and obstacles. I would love to see a motocycle fly off a ramp on the air. There are more crashes, and therefore more lead changes. Then an unexpected racer who you hardly heard of will win a race. It becomes more like anyone's race, and anything can happen.
Blame the MLB about the steroid problem!
Okay guys I admit: I might be defending Barry Bonds on this topic, but those of you who did not know that in many ballparks outside of San Francisco, fans have been throwing objects such as syringes at Bonds and accusing him for using steroids. There was a book publish stating that Bonds was taking steroids to enhance his slugging. Why do the fans wanted to point fingers in this man while other ballplayers like Sammy Sosa, Gary Sheffield, etc., probably uses steroids? Before the 2005 season, Major League Baseball did not have a steroid policy and have drug testing for his players. So why point fingers now since the MLB took action and suspending players like Rafael Palmero for a certain amount of games?
Let it be know that what happens in the past is in the past. Maybe the players will clean up their acts, then there will be no cheaters this time.
As far as Barry Bonds is concerned: the league will not be celebrating if he breaks Babe Ruth's record because it is not the career homerun record. If he breaks Hank Aaron's career record, then some mix of cheers and boos will happen. Unless he retires at the end of the season, Bonds will break the homerun record. Another point: Bonds did not know that he took steroids from BALCO from his trainer, which is one of the reasons why we should not call Bonds a cheater.
