Mixed Martial Arts needs to be recongnized in Madison Avenue

Sure boxing has its greats like Muhammad Ali, George Forman, Joe Fraizer, Ken Norton, and Sugar Ray Robinson to last decades of Evander Holifield and Lennox Lewis. Nowdays, boxing is starting to jump the shark. Enter Don King. He fucked up the image of boxing, having connections with a mobster to his eccentric behavior. After all of the controversies of Mike Tyson, boxing is becoming less interesting, but I am still a big fan of boxing because it still has legends that made it happen.

The next generation would be more interested in Mixed Martial Arts. Leagues such as the Ultimate Fighting Championships and Pride Fighting Championships are starting to rise. Fighters not only punch but also grapple on the ground and trying to make their opponent submit using painful moves. All styles, from freestlye wrestling and Thai kickboxing to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu are used throughout this match. It is very interesting to see one competitor with a judo background go against his opponent with taekwondo-style fighting. Black belt in any martial art is a good advantage, but any opponent with NCAA wrestling and extensive kickboxing training can be very competitive in this competition. UFC Unleashed is aired on Spike TV, and Pride FC is shown Sunday Nights on Fox Sports Net, hyping up the fans everywhere. Pay Per Events now gets to be held in larger venues such as the Staples Center in Los Angeles than ever. You get to hear names such as Chuck Liddel, Randy Couture, Ken Shamrock, Matt Hughes, and Royce Gracie. It is more painful than boxing and bloodier than watching the NFL. If you are a real man, you should go watch UFC or Pride FC.
