More on the NFL Draft
For the 2006 season, look out for quaterback controversies. Matt Leinart would be mean that Kurt Warner would find himself either traded or retirement. Steve McNair will be released by the Titans or traded to the Baltimore Ravens. Expect Jay Culter to be a competitive quarterback for the Denver Broncos.
As for the San Francisco 49ers getting two first-round picks, they needed tight end Vermon Davis to catch short passes from last year's number one pick Alex Smith. They also needed defensive end Manny Lawson to fill in the departures of Jillian Peterson and Andre Carter.
